A lot of my influences come from a love of textiles, particularly batik and woven traditional Ghanaian cloths (Kente). I borrow from abstracted motifs and patterns as well as the nature of fabrics. Using a fold forming technique, the simple cylindrical form of the ‘Pleat’ vessels displays neat and irregular pleats in fabrics.
